Two popular trends often get confused - they are natural and neutral makeup. While they share some similarities, they have some big differences!
What's the difference between natural and neutral makeup? The difference is the amount of makeup used! I often get brides asking me for 'Natural' makeup, but in reality they want neutral makeup as natural just doesn't feel enough for their big day! The goal of natural makeup is to look effortlessly beautiful, as if you're not wearing any makeup at all.
So although in your photos you could look like you have natural makeup on, you may be wearing a more than you first anticipated.
Natural makeup normally consists of the below:
light coverage foundation - so you can see your natural skin underneath including imperfections and freckles.
Little to no brow makeup - perhaps just brushed through
Little or no bronzer
No sparkly highlighter
No liner or strong eyeshadow
No fake lashes - just mascara
Medium/full coverage foundation - covers imperfections
Bronzer
Blushed cheeks
Eyeshadow with neutral and nude tones/ sparkly eyeshadow
Nude/pink lips
Filled brows
Liner and individual lashes
Highlighter
